ADIA Dental Industry Leadership Award — Sponsored by Westpac Health |

To recognise corporate leadership embodied in the form of corporate accomplishments that reflect well on the dental industry thus encourage other companies to strive for greater success. The award may cover activities that include, but are not limited to: innovative product development, domestic or overseas market development; pioneering marketing campaigns; commitment to ADIA; and environmental sustainability.
Prime Practice won the ADIA Westpac Health Dental Industry Leadership Award for successfully exporting to the United States its original approach to providing dentists with skills and tools to better manage their dental practice. The judges were impressed with Prime Practice’s ability to grow the business in Australia and overseas based upon the strength of customer endorsements. Numerous supporting statements testified that Prime Practice’s programs deliver practical outcomes that allow dentists run a successful practice. |

ADIA Dental Industry Partnerships Award — Sponsored by Bite Magazine |

To recognise corporate success in building cooperative partnerships with dentists and allied oral healthcare professionals that reflect the truly symbiotic relationship that exists between the dental industry and dental professions. The award may cover activities that include, but are not limited to: supporting dental research; training of dental professionals, support for dental voluntary care programs; and efforts to assist dental professionals in the uptake of new technology.
The winner of the ADIA Bite Magazine Industry Partnership Award was TrollDental for its significant and ongoing contribution to the Australian Dental Research Foundation, the Rotary Club’s Operation Cleft program and the supply of refurbished dental products in Australia’s indigenous and developing nations. The judges were impressed with TrollDental’s long standing commitment to simply doing the right thing and providing the resources necessary to allow dentists deliver services to those most in need across the Asia-Pacific region. |

ADIA Dental Industry Professional Award |

To recognise individual success in strengthening either an employee’s company or the entire dental industry thus encouraging other individuals to also be the best that they can be. Scope of award: The award may cover activities that include, but are not limited to: Mentoring new staff; Team leadership that solves a problem / develops a new product; Service to the industry / the association; Extraordinary sales success; and building relationships with key stakeholders.
An award that recognises accomplishment at an individual level, the winner of the ADIA Dental Industry Leadership Award was Jessica Chasen from Henry Schein Halas. Jessica won the award as a result of her stewardship of the Henry Schein Cares program. The driving force behind this initiative that brings together the dental profession, the dental industry and the community, Jessica’s contribution allows the program to help dentists provide services to those in need across Australia and overseas. Based upon the independent scoring of judges, Jessica also won the 2011 ADIA President’s Award for Excellence which is bestowed upon the winner of either the leadership award, partnership award or professional award who obtained the highest score from the three independent judges. |

To recognise corporate or individual accomplishments that set the winner apart from their contemporaries. Nominations are not open for this category, with eligible entries being the winner one of the ADIA Industry Leadership Award, ADIA Industry Partnership Award and the ADIA Dental Industry Professional Award. This award was won by Jessica Chasen. |
To ensure that the process was both robust and independent, the judging panel was Chaired by Mr Ian Crawford and included Mr Ian Hughes, Mr Keith Mentiplay and Mr Armin Roth, all ADIA Life Members. In commenting on the award entries, Mr Crawford remarked that in the inaugural year of the Australian dental industry awards it was pleasing that the calibre of the entries exceeded all expectations.
