The Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) participates in and coordinates a number of domestic and international industry events and exhibitions. This dental industry events calendar will provide you with information on upcoming industry events, either organised by ADIA or allied stakeholders that may be of interest to stakeholders in the dental industry and dental professions.


17/05/2012 – Clinical Application of Periodontal Instrumentation
The University of Sydney

 

Clinical skills required for providing periodontal therapy most effectively and efficiently may be enhanced and strengthened by viewing all instruments as a total unit rather than as separate entities. These workshops present innovative instrument designs and solutions driven approaches to meet the inevitable challenges of mechanically treating “invisible” root surfaces and examine the design characteristics of a variety of hand instruments and are listed for appropriate skill levels.

17/05/2012 – Pearls for Everyday Dentistry - Aesthetics and beyond

18/05/2012 – Current aesthetic restorative materials and techniques

The general dentist is constantly bombarded by advertisements for a plethora of new aesthetic materials and techniques. This programme assembles a panel of experts to critically evaluate the science behind what is available in the market and what is clinically successful for direct and indirect aesthetic materials and techniques. On completion of the programme, each participant should be familiar with current aesthetic materials and techniques, their applications and their clinical performance.

19/05/2012 – Orthodontic Appliance 2 Course
Dentaurum Australia

 

This is a hands on professional development course (8 CPD points) and is designed to cover sagittal and transverse expansion as well as bite planes and occlusal bite pads. We will not be concentrating on wire components they were covered in the first course . However they are still important and great care must be taken positioning the wire components. This course is limited to ten people per class, and is designed to provide the participant with the maximum amount of individual tuition.
