As the peak representative body for the dental industry, the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) affords its members the opportunity to contribute to the development of policy and technical standards.
ADIA's objective in its positive engagement with government and stakeholders is to ensure that Australian business can supply dental product free from an unnecessary regulatory burden. To this end, on behalf of the dental industry ADIA nominates representatives to a number of committees and working groups.

Proving the opportunity for the Australian dental industry to be aware of, and involved in, the deliberations of these organisations is a key role for ADIA. Importantly, there is the opportunity for employees of ADIA member companies to become a member of the aforementioned groups.
At an international level the Australian dental industry is also represented at governing and policy forums of the IDM - International Dental Manufactures and the FDI - World Dental Federation.
