ADIA is the peak business organisation representing manufacturers and suppliers of dental products. Our vision is for an industry that empowers oral health professionals to advance the health and wellbeing of all Australians...................... — ADIA Strategic Plan

Parliamentary Engagement — Annual roundtable

Australia’s dental industry faces a number of challenges arising out of changes from the commercial, technical and regulatory environment as a result of international and domestic influences. To ensure that Australia's political leadership understands the issues face by the dental industry, each year the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) convenes a meeting at parliament house in Canberra.

This annual meeting allows the ADIA National Executive and representatives of major manufacturers and suppliers to meet parliamentarians and senior bureaucrats in order to share ideas and identify a pathway that allows the dental industry to grow, create jobs and operate sustainably. The meeting is coordinated by the ADIA Chief Executive Officer within the context of the ADIA Parliamentary Engagement Strategy.

ADIA is recognised across the nation as an authoritative source of policy advice and each year the meeting is as keenly attended by external stakeholders as it is ADIA member representatives.

This meeting is a key outcome of the 2016-20 ADIA Strategic Plan which envisages a more active role for the Association in influencing the commercial, technical and regulatory environment in which the dental industry operates.
