For Laboratories — Supporting the local sector

Australia’s dental laboratories face unique challenges from international competition and technological changes. Recognising this, the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) is spearheading advocacy efforts to secure a future for Australia’s dental laboratories. This is important work that requires effective representation at the highest levels of government and fostering cooperative working relationships with key stakeholders in the dental and oral healthcare sector.

Over the past few years, ADIA been able drive reforms that will secure a future for Australia’s dental laboratories. As a result of numerous representations at a parliamentary level, the senate inquiry into the regulatory standards for medical devices recognised safety concerns associated with the importation of custom-made medical devices. ADIA continues to meet with several members of parliament to ensure that regulatory reform is implemented.
