For Suppliers — Supporting Innovators and Manufacturers

As the peak business organisation representing manufacturers and suppliers of dental products a key role for the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) is to support local manufacturers looking to grow their business by accessing new markets.

ADIA's support for local manufacturers has been long standing – indeed, it was one of the key reasons that ADIA was founded in 1925. More than ninety years later it remains an important focus for the Association and businesses benefit via a number of avenues that are set out below.

Grants and technical assistance —

Using its extensive network of contacts across the Australian Government, ADIA is able to help member businesses access grants available to develop new markets. This support extends to Australian Government programs that exist to help business navigate the technical barriers to trade that exist in many destinations.

Market intelligence and business networks —

As result of ADIA's links with key organisations including the Australia China Business Council (ACBC) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia (AmCham) in addition to the association of International Dental Manufacturers (IDM), the team within the ADIA national office possess an extensive network of contacts that are available to you when reviewing overseas market opportunities.

Exhibition and trade show opportunities —

If your business is ready to export its products and services, ADIA supports businesses wishing to exhibit at the leading international dental exhibitions including the IDS Cologne event that attracts more than 130,000 visitors and the IDEM Singapore event that is widely recognised as Asia's leading business-to-business dental show.

Local peer support —

Through the ADIA-MIG Manufacturers' Interest Group convened by the Association you have an opportunity to meet with other Australian manufacturers to share experiences, tips, and pathways that will help you enter new markets. This is a truly unique benefit of ADIA membership that is highly valued by member businesses.

Support for domestic manufacturers looking to export a high priority for ADIA and one that is an important focus for the team within the ADIA national office – indeed there is a strong emphasis on supporting small businesses that manufacture dental products. The support available to you from the team in the ADIA national office is first-rate and sure to benefit ADIA member businesses looking to grow their business through reaching new overseas markets.

Member Engagement —

ADIA provides leadership, strategy, advocacy, and support. Our members set our agenda, fund our activities, and directly benefit from the results. With respect to the Association's work to support Australian manufactures looking to develop new export markets, the team in the ADIA national office receive advice and guidance from members serving on the ADIA-MIG Manufacturers' Interest Group and updates are provided at the quarterly ADIA State Branch Briefings.
