ADIA Code of Practice — Code administration committee

.
The Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) has a strong commitment to ensuring that there is a high degree of confidence amongst industry, professional and consumer stakeholders in the ADIA Code of Practice and it's ability to ensure that industry does the right thing. To this end there is a high level of stakeholder engagement in both increasing awareness of the code and in reviewing its ongoing operation.

The role of the ADIA-CAC Code Administration Committee is to provide advice and guidance on matters associated with implementing the ADIA Code of Practice and its ongoing review. The committee also reviews industry training that is directed at both increasing awareness of, and compliance with, the Code. The membership of this committee currently includes:

ADIA-CAC Code Administration Committee Membership —

. Greg Whiteley — Whiteley Corporation (Committee Chair)
. Noah Shroot — Ark Health
. Peter O'Leary — Gunz Dental

The ADIA-CAC Code Administration Committee typically meets twice per year and much of the committee’s work is undertaken electronically with the secretariat functions being provided by ADIA national office staff. Committee members are appointed by the ADIA Board.

The advice and guidance the ADIA-CAC Code Administration Committee is important in shaping the direction of the ADIA Code of Practice; however, it does not approve the document nor does the ADIA Board. Ultimate responsibility for approving the ADIA Code of Practice rests with the membership which will, from time to time, be asked to approve a new version of the document at a general meeting convened in accordance with the ADIA Constitution within the context of the Corporations Act 2010 (Cth).
