Key Issues For The Dental Industry —

A key role of the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) is to provide the information that will allow member businesses to make informed decisions about the direction of their business.  It’s in this context that the 2018 ADIA Dental Workforce In Numbers Report has been released.

The 2018 ADIA Dental Workforce In Numbers Report is one tool in that task as it provides insight into the changes within the dental workforce – the client base for ADIA member businesses.

Key Findings In The Latest Report —

■ The number of dentists now stands at 17,240
■ The number of dentists grew by 3.0% over the past year
■ The number of registered dental professionals is now 23,093

Amongst the datasets in the 2018 ADIA Dental Workforce In Numbers Report are the numbers of prosthetists, dental hygienists, oral health therapists, and dental therapists.  ADIA has compiled data on their location by state over the past six years.
