Key Issues For The Dental Industry —
The Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) has commissioned the latest edition of the Australian Dental Industry Intelligence Report, the nation’s most authoritative assessment of the local market for dental products. This report analyses fourteen discrete components of the sector, including the dental laboratory sector.
The latest edition of the Australian Dental Industry Intelligence Report will be released on 19 November 2018. This shows that the local dental laboratory sector grew to have a total value in FY2016-17 of $257.4 million.
Amongst the data in the Australian Dental Industry Intelligence Report is an analysis over the past decade that has shown that the nominal growth (not correcting for inflation) of the dental laboratory sector has ranged between 2.2% and 13.2% annually over the past decade.
Prepared for ADIA by Deloitte Access Economics, the Australian Dental Industry Intelligence Report draws upon a range of published and unpublished data from government and the private sectors.
ADIA is a strong advocate for Australia’s dental laboratory sector and the Association is currently working with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to ensure that the regulatory framework for dental products is suited for new technologies, such as 3D printing, which are increasingly used in the dental laboratory product sector.
The Australian Dental Industry Intelligence Report will be available free of charge to ADIA members and can be purchased for $685 by non-member businesses.
