Dental Industry to Meet With Parliamentarians Again

Dental Industry to Meet With Parliamentarians Again

1st Aug 19

The Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) membership will once again have the opportunity to meet with Members of Parliament and key governmental stakeholders. The Parliamentary Roundtable will take place on Tuesday, 15 October 2019 with a reception to be held the night before. Both events will take place at Parliament House.

The key stakeholders attending this year's roundtable are:

■ Hon. Greg Hunt MP — Minister for Health
■ Hon. Chris Bowen MP — Shadow Minister for Health
■ Mr James Pearson — Chief Executive Officer, Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
■ Adj. Prof. John Skerritt — Deputy Secretary, Therapeutic Goods Administration
■ Mr Damian Mitsch — Chief Executive Officer, Australian Dental Association
■ Ms Alexandra Hordern — Director, Office of the Small Business & Family Enterprise Ombudsman

This annual event affords the opportunity for a cross-section of ADIA’s membership, including large suppliers, small to medium enterprises (SME), and Australian manufacturers, to directly share its views with key parliamentary stakeholders and senior representatives of the Australian Government. The objective of the roundtable is to help the nation’s leadership understand what needs to be done to allow the dental industry to grow sustainably, invest in innovation, and create high-tech manufacturing jobs.
