ADIA Special Interest Groups - Get involved

The ADIA Special Interest Groups work to build a community of individuals within the dental industry that have a shared interest in a particular job function or industry sector. It's a great opportunity for you to get involved and develop a network of contact.
Key Issues For Consideration —
Earlier this year the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) brought together representatives of the ADIA Board, national committees and state branches to develop the 2016-20 ADIA Strategic Plan. Of the priories that was set includes providing opportunities for individuals from across the industry to come together, share ideas and build their knowledge. It’s in that context that employees of member businesses are encouraged to join an ADIA Special Interest Group.
The ADIA Special Interest Groups exist to support employees of member businesses with an interest in a particular job function or industry sector. As a participant, you’ll get the opportunity to meet liked-minded colleagues and collaborate in matters where there is a shared interest.
ADIA-EIG Employers’ Interest Group —
This group brings together workplace relations and human resource specialists with an interest in employment law, workplace health and safety in addition to wage and superannuation matter.
ADIA-MIG Manufacturers’ Interest Group —
With the Australian Government’s focus on high-tech manufacturing, it’s an exciting time for local manufacturers who are happy to share their experience to assist others in facing the same challenges. [Read More]
ADIA-IIG Implant Interest Group —
A major focus of this group is to strengthen the relationship between industry and professional bodies working with dental implants, so you are sure to benefit from your participation.
ADIA-OIG Orthodontic Interest Group —
As the sector introduces new orthodontic treatment pathways, this group reviews the opportunities before the sector and works to build stronger relations with orthodontists nation-wide.
ADIA-LIG Laboratory Interest Group —
Helping individuals adapt to change in the dental laboratory sector is the major focus of this group that believes the dental laboratory sector in Australia has a strong future. [Read More]
ADIA-AIG Software Interest Group —
Promoting the role of software in building dental practice sustainability is a major focus for the group, along with building a shared understanding of the e-health agenda.
As the ADIA Special Interest Groups conduct most of their business via email, your time commitment isn’t great. Each group typically convenes once or twice per year and for a schedule of these meetings review the following webpage.
