Key Issues For The Dental Industry —

Businesses in the dental industry who export product overseas are invited to apply now for the 54th Australian Export Awards.

The Australian Export Awards programme honours Australian businesses in twelve national categories. Entry is via your state or territory export awards programme where finalists and winners will be honoured. State and territory winners will automatically progress to the national stage for the Australian Export Awards. Some of the categories include:

For outstanding international success in medical, healthcare, biotechnology fields for products, technology, equipment or services.

For outstanding international success by any business with total annual sales (including domestic sales) not exceeding $5 million.

For outstanding international success in the field of information and communication products, technology or services that are connected with storage, retrieval, manipulation, transmission or receipt of digital data.

For outstanding international success in environmental solutions, clean energy innovation, materials and energy efficiency, waste and water management, green buildings and R&D collaboration.

For outstanding international success by a manufacturer.

For outstanding international success by a business whose head office is based in a non-metropolitan location.

These prestigious awards recognise Australian businesses' contribution to Australia’s economic prosperity and offer significant opportunity for the dental industry. As recently as 2014, SDI Ltd, specialist dental manufacturer and exporter as well as a member business of the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA), was recognised for its achievements in winning the Australian Export Award in the Health and Biotechnology category.
