Summary —

The latest edition of the ADIA Dental Workforce In Numbers Report, updated for the first half of 2016, incorporates the latest data on the number of dentists and allied oral healthcare professionals and includes key demographic data.  It's a useful tool for suppliers of products and services to dental practices to understand the changes to their client base.

Key Issues For The Dental Industry —

A key role of the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) is to provide the information that will allow member businesses to make informed decisions about the direction of their business.  The ADIA Workforce In Numbers Report is one tool in that task as it provides insight into the changes within the dental workforce – the client base for ADIA member businesses.

The ADIA Dental Profession In Numbers Report is updated every six months and answers many of the questions that ADIA receives from its members.

  Data on the number of registered dentists, dental prosthetists, dental hygienists, dental health therapists and oral health therapists by state and territory.
  Demographic overview of each of the aforementioned professional groups.
  Data on the number of registers specialist dentists (e.g. orthodontists, periodontists, oral surgeons, etc) by state and territory.
  Demographic overview of each of the aforementioned specialist dentists groups.
