Nikki Firth, Your Accounting Sanctuary

Nikki Firth is a qualified, chartered accountant, tax agent and founder of Your Accounting Sanctuary. She moved over from the UK on her own in 2014 with no job, no contacts and a "leap of faith" attitude. Luckily she was offered a position in an accountancy practice in Sydney and, whilst learning the intricacies of Australian tax, also quickly learned that the practice she was working for was not heading in the same direction as she wanted to go.

Nikki is no stranger to being in a profession where glass ceilings are everywhere and getting over the "stereotype" is a high wall to climb, but that hasn't stopped her from trying to shape a new path in the accountancy world; ensuing that small and medium business owners have a "safe space" to come and discuss their business issues. The company specialises in relationships and helping owners build their growth by understanding the numbers behind the decisions. Her office is designed to be like a spa, relaxing the clients before they meet and allowing them to shake off the outside world stresses before they chat.
