Understanding The Eligibility Criteria

The dental industry comprises of businesses that range in size from family businesses through to local operations of multinational therapeutic product suppliers. They share common aspirations for the growth of their business, the creation of jobs, and the financial sustainability of the dental industry. Naturally, they are bound by a universal commitment to the supply of quality dental products and services this is the membership of the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA).

Corporate Membership

These business manufacture, supply and/or distribute dental products within Australia. Consistent with their obligations under the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (Cth) the products that these businesses supply will appear on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) as managed by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).

Affiliate Membership

These businesses provide services to dental practices or sell products that are not listed on the ARTG (and not eligible to join under another category). Examples include suppliers of furniture and dental practice fit-out companies. Other businesses in this category also provide professional service firms such as accountants, lawyers, insurers, business consultants and marketing firms.

Associate Membership

The clients of ADIA Associate Members, or their major commercial focus, are the businesses that manufacture and supply dental products. Businesses in this membership category include publishers that seek advertising from dental product suppliers, regulatory affairs consultants that seek work from dental products suppliers, or financial institutions that often partner with dental product suppliers to provide finance for capital purchases.

International Membership

This category of membership is open to businesses that do not have a presence in Australia, and do not sell products and/or services into Australia, but wish to maintain an awareness of changes to the Australian commercial, technical and regulatory environment.

What's truly unique about ADIA is that it is an integral part of the dental industry as it is an organisation that was created by members for members. In a practical sense, our members are our owners who set our direction, create the services that support their business and benefit from the results. The best thing is, along the way you can develop some great professional contacts and have a little fun.
